Every garment begins long before it is worn. Ours begins with care.

Healthy clothing means considering every choice: the fibre, the colour, the finish and the way each piece feels on delicate skin.

It starts with the fibre

Every garment starts as a fibre, long before it becomes fabric.

We choose cotton for its natural comfort and lyocell for its smooth feel and moisture management. Together, they create fabric that stays breathable and gentle through long hours of wear.

We avoid polyester where we can. Our sewing threads are currently polyester, and we are actively seeking a healthier alternative.

Fabric, before colour

Before colour is added, the fabric is cleaned and prepared.

Conventional manufacturing often relies on strong detergents at this stage. We look for gentler methods that keep the fabric clean without compromising its natural softness or breathability.

We use a soap nut solution to lift waxes and impurities. The aim is simple: prepare the fabric without overwhelming it.

Colour from nature, not urgency

Colour is where many garments take a chemical-heavy turn. We choose a different path.

Our colours come from flowers and tree bark, shaped by season, climate and time. Transforming a raw source into dye can take up to 14 days.

Some garments are left undyed, allowing the fabric to stay close to its natural state. Nature sets the pace, and we do not rush it.

Gentle cleansing and balance

Once dyed, the fabric needs to be cleansed and stabilised.

Rather than relying on harsh detergents, we use river soil clay to cleanse the fabric and lemon juice to help neutralise it.

Natural alternatives are not yet available for every step. When that is the case, we use minimal quantities of carefully chosen inputs and are transparent about them.

Thoughtful construction

Materials are only part of the story. Design and construction matter just as much.

Our clothing is made to move with babies, not restrict them. Seams, fills and finishes are chosen for comfort and longevity, not speed.

Our Sleep Sacks are filled with 100% cotton to stay breathable and gentle. Every decision is guided by wear, touch and daily use.

Ready for the world they will grow into

Clothing does not exist in isolation. The way it is made affects water, soil and ecosystems long before it reaches a wardrobe.

By choosing plant-based colours, slower methods and minimal processing, we aim to reduce our water impact and leave a softer footprint on the planet.

The world our children inherit matters just as much as what they wear today.

Healthy Clothing is not one step.

It's a series of choices, made patiently, from the very beginning.
